1 Is colour smoke safe?
Yes, completely. The cannons are activated remotely by our technician from a safe distance. The smoke leaves no trace on clothing, trees or the surroundings.
2 Are the colour smoke cannons fireworks?
No. The aerial colour smoke shots are stage pyrotechnic effects (category T1 under EU Directive 2013/29/EU), a separate category from fireworks (F1–F4). We use the Air Smoke SM30 by Pirotecnica Manna Srl (Italy, manufacturer since 1958), CE-marked. Each canister contains a coloured smoke composition inside. Through electric ignition controlled by our technician from a safety zone, the device produces a small burst that releases a cloud of coloured smoke upward. Peak visual lasts around 5 seconds, and the cloud disperses over 20–30 seconds depending on wind. No rockets, no bangs, no aerial projectiles. Outdoor use only, with safety zone and trained operator.
3 Can it be used indoors?
No. Colour smoke is designed exclusively for outdoor use.
4 Will my venue allow aerial colour smoke?
In the vast majority of cases yes. Aerial smoke runs strictly outdoors, with proper safety distances (6–8 metres from guests and 2 metres from vegetation), executed by a trained operator — our team covers all of this. It's a common effect at weddings in fincas, hotels and outdoor venues across Spain and normally doesn't raise any issue. We still suggest mentioning it to your venue in advance so we can coordinate the exact moment and the cannon placement. If any question comes up, just put us in touch with the venue's coordinator and we'll handle it directly.
5 How many times can it be activated?
Each cannon is single-use. That's why we recommend a minimum of 10 units for a spectacular result.
6 Can I choose the colours?
Yes. We have around 12 colours that you can combine freely. Use our configurator to create your perfect combination.
7 What formations are possible?
We offer two formats: vertical column or arc formation. Our team will advise based on your venue and the timing of the effect.
8 Does it combine well with other effects?
Yes — colour smoke pairs spectacularly with cold sparks, creating a complete and unforgettable show.
