That Friday in Alicante the wind gave no respite all day. And even so, Oleksii and Olga's first dance ended up floating on a carpet of clouds.
It was the second day of our run through the Alicante area, with several events back to back. We reached Casa Antonio with plenty of time to check everything, as we always do. The problem had a name: a wind that blew non-stop and had no intention of easing off until night.
A test that changed everything
We set up the launch point for the low fog outdoors and ran a test. The result was clear: with those gusts, the fog broke up in the air and there was no way to get the effect outside. Low fog needs calm to settle on the ground.
From the garden to the hall
We talked to the DJ and the venue's technician, who knew the place inside out, and they showed us the main hall. We ran another test inside and, luckily, everything fell into place: the fog spread across the floor exactly as it should, forming that dense, low layer that looks like a cloud.
Our job isn't just switching on the machine: it's reading the place and deciding where the effect will really work.— The House Party team
Convincing the couple
The most delicate part was left: suggesting to Oleksii and Olga that they move the first dance from outside to the hall. We explained what we had seen in the tests, and the arguments were on our side. They trusted us and we made the decision together.
A first dance on the clouds
We gathered the 60 guests in the hall, hooked up to the venue's sound system and the music began. We also brought in our own lighting, the kind we always carry for these moments, and released the fog. It covered the floor and the couple were left dancing among the clouds. The result was exactly what we were after.
