Some weddings just feel easy from the very first message. Jeanelle and Jose's started with a WhatsApp at two in the morning — and somehow, everything flowed perfectly from there.
Late-night messages are actually pretty normal for us when couples are coming from the United States. With the time difference, we often end up talking at unusual hours. But as soon as Jeanelle mentioned Can Ribas de Montbui, we were already excited. It's genuinely one of our favourite wedding venues near Barcelona.
One of those venues we always love coming back to
We've worked at Can Ribas before, and it's always a pleasure to return.
The team welcomes us with a smile, access and setup are easy, and the place itself is beautiful. The views over the valley, the bougainvillea covering the masia, the fountain filled with floating fruit — there are little details everywhere that make it special.
It's actually one of those venues where, when we see it on the calendar, everyone on our team wants to be the one working that wedding.
We started a little earlier than planned
The photo booth was booked from 6 to 8 pm, during the cocktail hour.
But guests started arriving at the aperitif a little earlier and were already coming over, ready to take photos.

So we started early.
From that moment on, the photo booth barely had a quiet minute. There was a queue pretty much throughout the whole session, with guests coming back again and again for another photo.
The kind of wedding we love
Jeanelle and Jose were such an easy couple to work with. From that first 2 am WhatsApp to the wedding itself, everything felt relaxed and natural.
Their guests brought exactly the same energy. Photos nonstop, different groups, different poses, different strips every time.
And with Can Ribas de Montbui as the setting, it became one of those weddings that reminds us why we love doing this in the first place.
